Hi Global Gladiators!
Scottie here again, back with the latest update regarding the delivery of Aftershock Stretch Goals (SGs)! I've also got a few clarifications regarding the upcoming reprint pre-order campaign mentioned in the previous update.
Aftershock SG Delivery Status
This is the latest update from our friends at Quartermaster Logistics (QML) regarding fulfillment of Aftershock Stretch Goals for those missing only that product. Please note that when we say "fulfillment is complete," it means that the parcels have been sent out, but not necessarily delivered.
United States, Canada & Rest of World
Fulfillment is complete! The Canadian orders will have a bit of additional transit time up over the border but QML expects them to arrive to backers late next week. US and RotW orders have all gone out and are in the mail system.
Europe (via GamesQuest)
Fulfillment is complete! All but 2 of the orders are in the mail system and show updates on their tracking.
Australia/New Zealand (via Aetherworks)
Fulfillment is complete! All parcels are in the mail system.
Reprint Clarifications
We had a lot of questions pop up after our last brief update explaining what the latest press release was about, and how it related to the reprint of Street Masters stock. Here are a few clarifications.
Why Indiegogo?
We are using it as a pre-order platform, not a proper crowdfunding one (which is a reason there will be no stretch goals). This for two reasons.
1) It offers what is known as "flexible funding" (i.e. funds pledged are collected regardless of if the “goal” is met or not), which is important because this reprint is happening regardless of how funding does.
2) With the sheer amount of Street Masters products we want to offer, it's a great platform to help consolidate our reprint items while offering a few new items for those who desire more.
What if the Indiegogo campaign doesn't fund? What happens to the reprint?
Regardless of what happens, we will reprint enough stock to ensure our 200+ backers missing a combination of items will receive all of their items. That said, the aforementioned "flexible funding" option on Indiegogo allows us to use any amount of funds pledged to help print additional stock for conventions, webstore sales, etc.
In other words, even if we raise $0 on Indiegogo, we are still going to print a minimum order of every SKU because we have no Street Masters inventory in the QML warehouse aside from Aftershock SGs we reprinted out of pocket.
You guys said that I'll be getting a product for free since I have to wait. What is this product?
Check out the last update's "New Challengers Pack" section.
What do I have to do during the Indiegogo campaign with regards to my missing products?
Nothing! As stated in our last update, if you contacted us at [email protected] to report that you were still waiting on your pledge or some of your pledge, we already have that in the system and those products will be sent to you the moment QML gets them.
If I am waiting for Aftershock products that are going to be sent from this reprinted stock, can I buy stuff during the Indiegogo campaign?
Yes, you can!
If I buy stuff during the Indiegogo campaign, do I have to pay for shipping for those products?
Yes. While we originally thought we'd be able to consolidate orders with what you're waiting for, we've just found out we will in fact need to charge shipping on any new items you acquire as this will be a new order.
Can you explain to me again why we have to wait so long for our stuff? Can't you just get it from your old warehouse?
Sadly that is not an option. As explained in recent updates, we have severed ties with our previous fulfillment partner/the company that bought them out. While we had originally been waiting on them to get the job done, the delays had stretched way beyond your patience and our patience. Our inventory there is scattered, missing, or in the wrong countries and they cannot provide us with proper information as to why. Rather than continue dealing with delays that are beyond our control and no info on how to fix things, we announced that we would take the financial hit to reprint products and restart with a clean slate by ensuring we have all this new, reprinted inventory at the QML warehouses. Furthermore, QML is pretty awesome and will handle all customer service and Q&A for all SKUs we have in their warehouses, so you’ll get action over just answers.
We’d dealt with our previous partner's mistakes for too long, and we'd had it with making all of you wait only to continually get the same runaround and no resolution. So, as a team we all agreed that we shouldn’t just continue waiting and "hope" they figure out the inventory issues; we decided to cut the problem at its core and start over fresh so things can move forward instead of staying stagnant indefinitely.
The estimated delivery window is May 2021? Is that correct?
Correct. We know waiting until then isn't great, and we wish we could get it to you sooner. It's important to note that while this is indeed a few extra months of wait, if we had kept sticking it out and waiting for our old fulfillment partner, constantly demanding answers and getting no proper answers, it's safe to assume we'd still be doing the same dance until Dec 2021 or beyond.
This wait does suck, but this is also why we are giving those of you still waiting the New Challengers Pack. We created these 6 new Fighter decks for you, and toiled hard to make sure they are amazing additions to the game (I should know, as I designed some of them myself)! Of course, this also gives everyone else who enjoys Street Masters a chance to expand their collection with some cool characters should they want them!
The reprinted items will be shipped out with the same friendly shipping as we've come to expect?
Yes. QML has a warehouse in the US that handles all shipping to the US, CAN, and Rest of the World. They also work closely with Aetherworks who warehouses our products for AUS/NZ, VFI for Asia, and Gamesquest for EU/UK. After manufacturing all of the products that we are offering on Indiegogo, we will be entrusting QML to allocate the correct numbers of our inventory to the respective warehouses, thereby making shipments friendly to the same locations mentioned during the Aftershock campaign and the Indiegogo campaign.
What about Brexit?
QML is fully aware of this and is working on having a solution as most fulfillment companies do not currently have new information. That said, they have been in business for over 30 years, making sure both their clients and their customers are provided with solid information and the best possible outcomes within their power. Whether it’s having new warehouses, partners, or finding a way that we can best cater to your shipping needs, they will make sure it will happen and that we follow suit.
I'm hesitant to back your future projects because of this whole shipping debacle.
We totally get that. It was quite the fiasco, and we don't blame you for having doubts. That said, we are no longer associated with the fulfillment partner responsible for the issues we experienced. QML is who we are partnered with now, and having worked with them to get Aftershock SGs out quickly, we are even more confident that they will continue to prove to you and us why we should have used them from the beginning. They are also currently fulfilling Altar Quest (see AQ updates), with a few backers reporting delivery already, and so far we've been blown away by how different (in a very positive way) the experience has been. We are excited to continue working with them, as they get the job done.
So I've been waiting for the Aftershock Deluxe Box and now you're offering new products during the Indiegogo campaign. That probably won't fit in there right?
If you sleeve all your cards with thicker sleeves, you might indeed have difficulty finding room for these new decks (personally, I don't sleeve Story Cards and Ally/Rivals as they hardly get shuffled, so that saves space). Having increasing content in a series is definitely a double edged sword. We unlocked so many freebies during the Aftershock campaign, way beyond our expectations, and with this new content offered on Indiegogo we are in that push/pull, give/take situation where it's efficiency vs gameplay. Though we could have very well capped everything, we decided to push forward with more content due to overwhelming fan requests, especially knowing some of it can be given to the small number of backers waiting for their stuff.

Phew! Hope that clarifies things a bit more! Feel free to post questions we didn't cover, and we'll try our best to answer them!
Thanks all!
